CFRE certification adds value to your contribution to your employers, clients and constituents. In addition, the AFP Compensation and Benefits Study consistently reports that CFREs receive higher compensation than those who do not hold the CFRE credential.

General Information

This one-day CFRE Review Course takes a new approach that asks you to apply fundraising theory, skills, and techniques within the six knowledge domains of the field, based on experience at the five year level. This course will not be presented in a lecture format. To gain the most from the experience and to read the requirements for obtaining your CFRE, you are strongly encouraged to visit the CFRE International website ( including the test content outline, Study Wizard, as well as the resource reading list. This session does not take the place of independent study and relevant experience in preparation for the exam.

Participants receive:

  • Continental breakfast and lunch
  • Participant manual (link will be provided to download and print out manual)
  • Approximately 8 hours of instruction
  • A certificate of completion at the end of the course
  • A head start for taking the CFRE Exam

2018 CFRE Refresher Course Faculty:

Amy Rasor, CFRE, is executive director of Tarrant Literacy Coalition. She was previously with Girls Inc. of Tarrant County and at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. Amy has 18 years of nonprofit experience. In 2012, Amy was the recipient of the Directors of Volunteers in Agencies Tarrant County Deborah Evans Young award for excellence in Volunteer Management. She was also selected as a 2015 Fort Worth Business Press 40 Under 40 Award Recipient. She has had articles published in the Volunteer Management Report and Special Events Galore! professional development publications.

Vicky Payne, CFRE, is nonprofit and fundraising consultant. She has served on the board of the Texoma Planned Giving Council, and is currently a member of the Fort Worth Metro Chapter AFP board of directors. She was an organizer of the fundraising and homelessness awareness event "Night in a Box" for several years. Vicky trained board members, staff, interns and prospective adoptive parents at Inheritance Adoptions for 10 years, and recently participated and championed planned giving training with the board of directors of Wichita Falls Faith Mission, Inc.
