This one-day CFRE Refresher Course takes a new approach that asks you to apply fundraising theory, skills, and techniques within the six knowledge domains of the field, based on experience at the five year level. This course will not be presented in a lecture format. To gain the most from the experience and to read the requirements for obtaining your CFRE, you are strongly encouraged to visit the CFRE International website (www.cfre.org) including the test content outline, Study Wizard, as well as the resource reading list. This session does not take the place of independent study and relevant experience in preparation for the exam.

Michelle Crim's 20-year career in fundraising and nonprofit management includes roles in higher education, healthcare philanthropy and social service organizations. Michelle's work includes annual giving, special events, strategic planning, board governance, volunteer management, major gifts and capital campaigns. Michelle founded and is president of Dynamic Development Strategies, LLC, which provides interim leadership and strategic fundraising services to nonprofits in the Tarrant County and surrounding areas. She serves on the board of the Lone Star Council of Charitable Gift Planners, is a board member of Camp Fire First Texas and is past president of the AFP Fort Worth Metro Chapter. Additionally, she is the membership chair of the North Texas Grant Professionals Association and recently joined the board of Women's Policy Forum. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Fort Worth.
Diana Marquis has been a fundraiser in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for more than twenty years. She worked for academic, social service, environmental education, and consulting/training agencies. Diana served various nonprofits as Executive Director, Chief Development Officer, and Manager of Major Gifts. In addition to two decades of professional fundraising, Diana also had a career in radio and television production, and small business development. She served the AFP Dallas Chapter as President and held other board positions as well as chair for the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon. She is a Leadership Dallas alumnus, a Charter Member of the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas and a founding member of the DFW Hispanic Communicators. She served four terms on the City of Dallas Cultural Affairs Commission. Diana is the Founder and Chief Strategist of DMGroupConsulting, where she uses her expertise, skillset, and knowledge to meet her nonprofit clients' goals.
Shawn Wills has inspired individuals and institutions to invest more than $100 million dollars in charitable causes over the course of her career. Over the past 20 years, Shawn has advanced philanthropy in her current role as Chief Development Officer at Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, and previously as Vice President of Operations and Strategy for the Women's Business Council – Southwest, senior vice president of development at the Texas Women's Foundation, senior development officer for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and manager of over 4,000 volunteers at PBS and NPR broadcast stations in the DFW metroplex. Shawn is past president of the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, an adjunct professor at Paul Quinn College, and a member of the Greater Frisco Chapter of Jack and Jill, where she also serves on the executive board. She is a founding officer and member of The Village Giving Circle.
