Keynote Speaker — Tom Ahern, ABC

President, Ahern Communications, Ink.

Tom Ahern is considered one of North America's leading authorities on donor communications. He has authored four well-received how-to books on donor communications, with a fifth on the way.

Each year, he delivers dozens of workshops internationally on the techniques of (and psychology behind) successful fundraising communications. In 2011, aside from his North American appearances, he has been invited to speak in Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy, and India.

He is in demand as a writer of fundraising materials. His 2010 clients included the National Parks Conservation Association; the Sharp Hospital system in San Diego; the Houston Grand Opera; Volunteers of America, one of the country's 10 largest charities; and Operation Homefront, a charity devoted to helping the families of deployed military.
